Myst, the classic adventure puzzle video game, will be developed into a multiplatform universe for film and television by Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The video game franchise includes nearly 10 titles, and have also been adapted into novels by publisher Hyperion.
Myst co-creators and brothers Rand and Ryan Miller will work alongside Village Roadshow to create and produce their upcoming projects.
Village Roadshow acquired the movie and TV rights to the video game, which initially released in 1993 by Cyan Productions and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
