Natalie Portman (Black Swan) is in talks to replace Reese Witherspoon (Wild) in the upcoming Fox Searchlight picture Pale Blue Dot, according to Variety.
She played the lead role in Black Swan, for which she won a Golden Globe as well as an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Natalie Portman is known for playing the role of Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and was nominated for an Academy Award for the 2004 film Closer.
She recently played First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the film Jackie, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
