NBC has committed to a pilot script, plus penalty, based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel The Last American Vampire, per a report from Deadline.
Grahame-Smith wrote The LEGO Batman Movie and the Dark Shadows film reboot, as well as adapting his own book with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The character first appeared in Grahame-Smith’s previous novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The book follows Henry Sturges, a 500-year-old vampire who’s been locked away for 40 years, believed to be the last of his kind.
