Burger’s latest film, the slice-of-life dramedy The Upside starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman, is currently in theaters.
The film, which Burger also wrote, follows a group of 30 kids who are sent on a generation-spanning mission to a distant planet to help both colonize and populate it.
AGC Studios will finance the project, as well as produce it alongside Basil Iwanyk and Brendon Boyea via Thunder Road Films and Burger’s Nota Bene Productions banner.
The plan is to introduce the project to the European Film Market in Berlin in February, which is all the rage this time of year.
