According to Deadline, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) has written and directed his first feature film since 2015’s Chappie, a currently untitled supernatural horror movie that was made “under-the-radar” during the pandemic.
Written and directed by Blomkamp, the plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps but the project is reportedly one Blomkamp had “always wanted to make.”
Editor Julian Clarke (Deadpool, District 9, Elysium) and Director of Photography Byron Kopman (Volition) are also attached to the project.
The movie was filmed in British Columbia over the summer with on-set COVID-19 protocols in place.
