The Hollywood Reporter has word that Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has been picked up by Netflix at this year’s Sundance Film Fest for a whopping $9 million.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is produced by Nicholas Chartier and Ara Keshishian for Voltage and Michael Costigan for Cota Films.
Director Joe Berlinger already helmed the Bundy doc Conversations with a Killer streaming on Netflix, so this seems like a natural fit.
The film was the subject of a bidding war that involved other studios including STX and Lionsgate.
