The horror series will consist of seven episodes and will be executive produced by creator/director Flanagan and Trevor Macy (The Haunting of Hill House, Oculus).
The series was picked up under the streamer’s multi-year television deal with Flanagan and Macy of Intrepid Pictures and is set to begin production this spring in Vancouver with Flanagan directing all seven episodes. Flanagan’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, the follow-up to the first season of his horror anthology series, The Haunting of Hill House, is currently being developed.
After ABC and WarnerMedia announced the halting of production on numerous series, Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) took to Twitter to reveal that not only has Netflix delayed production on his upcoming horror series Midnight Mass, but also on all other scripted productions at the streaming service amidst global concerns of the coronavirus.
The Haunting of Hill House is written, directed and executive produced by Flanagan.
