Netflix has announced a December 14 global release date and a teaser for the Australian series Tidelands.
This marks the streaming service’s first original Australian production, a supernatural story told over eight parts, created by Stephen M. Irwin (Secrets & Lies).
Fellow Aussies Madeleine Madden (Mystery Road), Caroline Brazier (Rake) and Dalip Sondhi (Secret City) and Brazilian actor Marco Pigossi (Caras E Bocas), and Kiwi Mattias Inwood (Will) round out the rest of the ensemble.
Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield, who produced Irwin’s Australian hit Secret & Lies and its remake for the U.S., will executive produce the series, which is written by Irwin and Leigh McGrath.
