Netflix’s Monster Season 3 Stars Charlie Hunnam as Killer Ed Gein

The third season of Netflix’s true crime anthology series Monster will feature Charlie Hunnam as serial killer Ed Gein, according to series co-creator Ryan Murphy.

During a promotional event for Monster Season 2, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, in Los Angeles, California, Murphy announced that Charlie Hunnam would play Ed Gein in the third season of the popular series.

Ed Gein was a suspected serial killer, body snatcher, and convicted murderer who was active in and around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin, in the ’50s.
