The Power Rangers are returning to the big screen in 2017 with the aptly-titled Power Rangers (aka Saban’s Power Rangers): a big screen reboot of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show that started it all in 1993, complete with versions of the classic Power Rangers villain Rita Repulsa and noble alien Zordon – played by the A-listers Elizabeth Banks and Bryan Cranston, respectively.
One expects that the Zords in particular will benefit from the upgrade in budget and production value from the original MMPR TV series to the 2017 Power Rangers movie.
Zords, for those who are rusty on their Power Rangers terminology, are the giant robots/colossal assault vehicles that are controlled by the individual Rangers and can be combined together to form the ultra-powerful Megazord.
Power Rangers opens in U.S. theaters on March 24th, 2017.
