If everything works out as well for Suicide Squad as it did for Guardians of the Galaxy, then Ayer’s film could prove to be the nice kick in the pants that the DCEU needs in order to progress to the next stage of its evolution.

Marvel Studios will for certain feature its next two movie releases (Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) during its own Hall H presentation, while Warner Bros. Pictures and DC are planning to use their own Comic-Con panel to ramp up anticipation for this August’s DC Extended Universe installment, Suicide Squad.
