The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Golden Globe nominee Nick Jonas (Ferdinand, Kingdom, UglyDolls) will be reprising his teenage character of Alex in Jumanji 3, Sony’s sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ended up bringing in around $956 million worldwide, over 3.5x the worldwide gross of the original film from 1995.
In Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jonas’ Alex had been trapped in the game for decades, hiding out in what had once been home to Robin Williams’ Alan Parrish from the original film.
The sequel to Welcome to the Jungle has been in development for some time, with writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner taking on the script.
