Village Roadshow and Columbia Pictures’ The Equalizer sequel has added its first major new cast member as The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Pedro Pascal (Narcos, Game of Thrones, The Great Wall) will co-star with Denzel Washington in the follow-up.
Washington is returning as McCall for The Equalizer 2, as is director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Magnificent Seven) and screenwriter Richard Wenk (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, The Expendables 2).
Fuqua’s 2014 adaptation of the 1980s television series The Equalizer grossed over $192 million worldwide and co-starred Chloe Moretz, Marton Csokas, Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo.
Pascal will next be seen in another big action sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
