Pixar’s Lightyear Gets Disney+ Release Date

The film, which aims to be the definitive origin of Buzz Lightyear — the hero who inspired the toy from the iconic Toy Story films — stars Chris Evans as Buzz.

Following a successful run in movie theaters, Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear is set to release on Disney+ next month, on August 3, 2022.

“The definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy, Lightyear follows the legendary Space Ranger after he’s marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew,” says the official synopsis.
