There’s good news for Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One as the movie scores a record-breaking opening weekend for Warner Bros. in China.
According to Variety, Warner Bros. secured its biggest opening weekend ever in China thanks to Ready Player One netting $61.7 million across 18,200 screens.
With a reported price tag of $175 million (excluding marketing) for Ready Player One, it is great news that the movie is doing so well.
China also earned a sizeable sum for Ready Player One with $7.2 million from 511 IMAX screens.
