In the wake of reports that Megyn Kelly told 21st Century Fox’s independent investigators that Roger Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her when she was a young correspondent, the Fox News chief has parted ways with the network, per The Daily Beast.
UPDATE: Despite initial reports that Fox News chief Roger Ailes had been fired from the network, an official statement insists that no such actions have been taken.
Once a media consultant for Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, Ailes became the founding CEO of Fox News 20 years ago this October.
He was additionally named chairman of Fox Television Stations Group in 2005.
