J.J. Abrams directs Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio based on characters created by George Lucas.
Ridley then went on to speak a bit about how J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker compares tone-wise with Abrams “fun” The Force Awakens and Rian Johnson’s “darker, riskier” The Last Jedi.
