RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, announced on Tuesday that they had acquired the U.S. rights to the rock and roll biopic Creation Stories, a film based on the life of Alan McGee.
Creation Stories is written by Dean Cavanagh (Kubricks) and Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting) and will be directed by Nick Moran (The Kid).
“This film tells the story of one of the most iconic figures in music,” said Mark Ward, Chief Acquisitions Officer at RLJE Films.
McGee was the creator and founder of Creation Records, an infamous studio responsible for helping supply the “Brit Pop” sound of the 90s.
