Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected will be getting a TV reboot by The Ink Factory (The Night Manager, The Little Drummer Girl), Deadline has confirmed.
The Ink Factory is collaborating closely with the Roald Dahl Story Company on the new series, which will air as an original anthology adaptation unconnected to the previous ITV show.
The Ink Factory previously adapted author John le Carré’s The Night Manager, starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston, and the upcoming limited series The Little Drummer Girl for AMC and BBC, which premiered on October 28 and stars Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgård, and Michael Shannon.
The original series was produced by Anglia Television for ITV in 1979 and ran until 1988.
