This past year, NBC also took the network lead in total viewers for the first time since the 2001-02 season.
It’s the end of an era at NBC: Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt is preparing to step down after nearly eight years at the network, according to a report from our sister site Variety.
No exact date for his departure has been set; he could stay with the network through the end of the TV season next May.
Greenblatt reportedly saw that win “as a big milestone that was a good bookend for his NBC run.”
