ROMA will be available in theaters and on Netflix later this year, produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Participant Media.
A vivid portrayal of domestic strife and social hierarchy amidst political turmoil, the film follows a young domestic worker Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio) from Mixteco heritage descent and her co-worker Adela (Nancy García), also Mixteca, who work for a small family in the middle-class neighborhood of Roma.
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for ROMA, which serves as director Alfonso Cuarón’s first theatrical release in four years since his work on Gravity.
ROMA chronicles a turbulent year in the lives of a middle-class family in 1970s Mexico City.
