Set to be directed by IT‘s Andy Muschietti, the latest screenplay is being written by Christina Hodson which will still cover the famous Flashpoint storyline.
Clemons previously portrayed West in the DC Extended Universe crossover Justice League but saw her role cut when directing duties were handed over to Joss Whedon after Zack Snyder’s departure from the project.
Nearly two weeks after word first broke that the titular hero’s father would be recast and an actress had been found to portray his mother, DC Extended Universe’s The Flash has found its replacement for Billy Crudup as Henry Allen in the form of Golden Globe nominee Ron Livingston (A Million Little Things), according to Variety.
Clemons’ official casting came a month after on-the-rise star Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) joined the cast in the role of Supergirl, becoming only the second actress to ever portray the character on the big screen.
