The trade notes that Sometimes I Lie marks the first limited series for A Very Good Production, which has focused mostly on comedies, including ABC’s Splitting Up Together, and a variety of reality series shows, including NBC’s Ellen’s Game of Games.
Deadline reports that Sarah Michelle Gellar has been tapped to star in and executive produce a limited series based on BBC journalist Alice Feeney’s novel Sometimes I Lie.
Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and Warner Bros. TV will develop the series, with DeGeneres serving as executive producer alongside Jeff Kleeman.
The series marks Gellar’s third show since the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer, following CW’s Ringer and CBS’ The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams.
