Sarah Silverman slammed “Bernie or bust” voters for being “ridiculous” during her remarks at the Democratic National Convention Monday night, and later told CNN that the comment was completely off book.
The comment was met with raucous applause that later turned into competing chants of “Hillary” and “Bernie” (to Silverman’s apparent chagrin).
Silverman brought up the “Bernie or bust” crowd after she and comedian Al Franken were instructed to stretch their speeches for time because the convention was going ahead of schedule.
