Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty, The 355, Molly’s Game) is replacing Michelle Williams in HBO’s limited series Scenes From a Marriage after Williams exited the series due to scheduling issues, according to Variety.
Based on Bergman’s own experiences, the series told the story of a disintegration of a marriage between Marianne and Johan.
The original six-episode series aired in 1973 on Swedish television where it starred Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson.
On top of starring, both Isaac and Chastain are also executive producing along with Levi, Lars Blomgren, Daniel Bergman, Blair Breard, and Media Res’ Michael Ellenberg.
