According to The Hollywood Reporter, the British sci-fi hero Bernard Quatermass is making his return to the big screen.
Quartermass started as a successful 1950s BBC TV series before making the leap to the big screen in a trio of films — The Quatermass Xperiment (1955), Quatermass 2 (1957) and Quatermass and the Pit (1967).
The British hero is often seen as an influence on the popular Dr. Who, as well as the Indiana Jones series and John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness.
Legendary Pictures has joined forces with Hammer Films to bring the popular icon out of retirement with Jon Silk and Jay Ashenfelter overseeing production.
