The show is set to take place seven years after the end of Shaman King, continuing on with new and returning characters.
Fans of Shaman King watching in Japan were treated to an emotional roller coaster this past Tuesday.
Joji Furuta directed the original Shaman King at Bridge, with Shoji Yonemura in charge of scripts and Satohiko Sano working on character design.
This led to a tease at a sequel show focusing on Hana, the son of the original series protagonists Yoh and Anna.
