The suit being designed by Tony Stark doesn’t just further explain the origin of the suit either, it also continues to establish and build the mentor-protege relationship between Holland’s Peter and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in the new films.
That plays directly into the plot of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which finds Peter desperately trying to prove himself worthy of being an Avenger, by trying to take on a number of dangerous new villains like The Vulture (Michael Keaton) and The Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) by himself.
Considering that one of the biggest questions many comic book fans have always had, is how a broke kid like Peter Parker managed to design his very own skin-tight costume, Marvel Studios has done a good job at explaining it with their take on the character.
The first look at an additional suit from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming may have been revealed today. It wouldn’t be the first time that fans have gotten to see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker sporting multiple super suits either, after making his debut in the Stark-designed technological version of the Spider-Man suit in last year’s Captain America: Civil War, before being downgraded back to his homemade costume in the last trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
