One of the major changes that Marvel Studios has been able to bring to the Peter Parker character (now played by Tom Holland) is the idea that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the person who built Spider-Man’s suit in Civil War – a major upgrade from Peter’s homemade suit, before then.
In Homecoming, Parker gets another upgraded suit that comes equipped with a bunch of special features, designed and crafted by Stark.
Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Peter Parker get a new Spidey suit – one that comes with its faire share of bells and whistles.
Homecoming was something of a coup for Marvel Studios, after the studio successfully negotiated with Sony to allow the Spider-Man character to become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (starting with Captain America: Civil War last year). Sony didn’t lose out either, as the studio now has the same team behind the highly-lucrative MCU working on one of their prize pony franchises.
