Deadline has learned that Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg are currently in talks to work together again for the first time in over 15 years on a biopic about Union army General Ulysses S. Grant.
Given his and Spielberg’s packed future, negotiations will be centered around pinning down when the two can begin work on the project.
The biopic is currently set at Lionsgate and Appian Way after the two picked up the film back in November with David James Kelly (Robin Hood) scripting the film.
Though DiCaprio has roles set for the next few years, it has been three years since his performance has graced the big screen in the acclaimed The Revenant, which won him his first Academy Award for Best Actor.
