Splash Remake to Star Channing Tatum & Jillian Bell

Given the fact that the original Splash was released 32 years ago, perhaps viewers unfamiliar with the original motion picture starring Hanks and Hannah will be interested in a gender-swapped remake starring the more contemporaneously familiar Hollywood faces of Tatum and Bell.

Hanks and Hannah first gained world-wide acclaim in the original Splash of 1984, and as a film its impact has not diminished much in the interceding three-plus decades.

Those in the know might remember that Grazer recently announced that a Splash remake is currently in the works, and that the casting process is already underway.
