In the midst of an anecdote about one of his upcoming films, actor Andrew Garfield revealed that his director Andy Serkis will wear fake facial hair in conjunction with his villainous motion-capture role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Serkis still isn’t abandoning his duties as a motion-capture performer, however, as he will be returning in a key mo-cap role for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi come December.
“It was a really difficult discussion, and Andy tried to take part as our director, and we couldn’t take it seriously!
Breathe was in pre-production around the same time that Serkis was reprising his role as Supreme Leader Snoke for The Last Jedi, and the director had limited availability at that moment, having to work around the busy timetable.
