One of the most popular theories postulates that Snoke is actually Emperor Palpatine’s onetime Sith master Darth Plagueis reincarnated.
Well before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, theories abounded about the true identity of the apparent mastermind behind the First Order, Supreme Leader Snoke.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available on DVD & Blu-ray now, with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opening in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016, followed by Star Wars: Episode VIII on December 15, 2017, the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film on May 25, 2018, Star Wars: Episode IX in 2019, and the third Star Wars Anthology film in 2020.
If what Serkis said is true, and Snoke is an unrelated character, his unconnected nature certainly won’t alter his ability to menace or manipulate the events of the Star Wars universe.
