The Force band is a wearable device which allows users to control their BB-8 with a simple wave of their hand; with the band coming with its own app that provides a kind of Star Wars version of Pokemon Go, where users explore their surroundings to collect Holocrons – a set of digital cards with images and information on the Star Wars universe and its characters.
The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was always going to guarantee Disney big bucks when it came to toy merchandising, yet the surprising part was just how popular one particular toy became.
Sphero’s BB-8, an app-controlled version of the film’s loveable spherical droid, quickly became the most sought-after Star Wars toy on the market; with a brand new version now being unveiled by the company at IFA 2016 (via Engadget).
The band also comes with different game modes and Combat Training for blasters, lightsabers, and the Force itself.
