Alongside the news about The Duffer Brothers’ new production company Upside Down Pictures, the duo announced that the company would be producing a new, live-action series adaptation of Death Note for Netflix.
Death Note is perhaps one of the most famous and recognizable manga and anime of all time, debuting in December 2003 and producing a 37-episode anime series that reached the same heights of popularity as the manga did.

Not too much is known about the upcoming series, but it will be based on the hit manga and anime series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.
