Netflix has officially renewed creator and showrunner Rachel Shuker’s newest series adaptation of The Baby-Sitters Club for a second season after nearly four months since the teen dramedy series debuted its 10-episode first season in July.
The Baby-Sitters Club was first adapted as a live-action series by HBO and Nickelodeon in 1990.
The immensely popular book series has over 200 books licensed in over 20 territories with more than 180 million copies sold to date.
Netflix’s new series The Baby-Sitters Club is based on the best-selling book series that follows the friendship and adventures of Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace), Mary-Anne Spier (Malia Baker), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph), and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) as the middle-schoolers start their babysitting business in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut.
