The Black Phone is being produced by Derrickson, Cargill, and Jason Blum, with Hill serving as an executive producer.
Universal Pictures has delayed The Black Phone release date by four months. Blumhouse’s horror-thriller starring Ethan Hawke was originally set to release on February 4, 2022.
It reunites Derrickson, and Cargill with Ethan Hawke and James Ransone, who all worked together on 2012’s Sinister.
The film is led by Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke along with up-and-coming young actors Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw.
