(The limited eight-episode set-up definitely helped to eliminate excess fluff.)
As such, there’s no lack of excitement about the idea that Season 2 will somehow make this complicated and unpredictable tale even wilder, with new characters and more fucked-up situations than The Deep can shake his stick at.
Anybody familiar with Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s The Boys comic series fully expected a lot of the chaotic insanity and ultra-violent superheroics that Season 1 delivered to streaming audiences, but the way Eric Kripke and the rest of the show’s creative team brought it all to life was still nothing short of amazing.
