Universal was the first to develop the Clue remake, and the plan was for Gore Verbinski to produce and direct it.
But after years of development, that iteration of the new movie was never cracked, hence why it moved to Fox.
At the very least, we can presume it will provide plenty of laughs.
Obviously this movie will have to perform better than its predecessor did for a franchise to kick off, but with Reynolds as one of the leads and helping produce it, as well as him potentially working with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on the story, then this version of Clue is already off to a good start.
