According to Deadline, Golden Globe nominee Dominic West (The Affair) has entered final negotiations for the role of Prince Charles in the final two seasons of Netflix’s award-winning series The Crown.
Should the deal push through, West would be joining previously announced cast members Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville, Jonathan Pryce and Elizabeth Debicki, who are set to portray the roles of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, Prince Phillip and Princess Diana, respectively.
The third season of The Crown saw the entire cast aging up, including Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tobias Menzies taking over for Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby, and Matt Smith who respectively portrayed the roles of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, and Prince Philip during the first two seasons.
Prince Charles and Princess Anne will also grow older with Josh O’Connor and Erin Doherty filling in those roles.
