Variety is reporting that Matthew Vaughn is also being considered for the directing gig on The Flash and is one of WB’s top choices along with Zemeckis.
Warner Bros. has the bar set high for the talent they want involved in the DC Extended Universe, and are now reportedly eyeing Matthew Vaughn to take on The Flash.
That said, Vaughn has yet to receive an offer to direct and WB could pass him up for Zemeckis or someone else.
While WB is reportedly in no rush on bringing The Flash to the big screen, one of the deciding points in choosing between Vaughn, Zemeckis, and other potential candidates will be their future workload – which could be quite heavy for Vaughn, depending on how well his sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, does this year.
