By now, fans of The CW’s Arrow-verse are no doubt well-aware that The Flash season 2 set things up for the DC Comics-based TV series to explore its version of the Flashpoint comics narrative during season 3.
Things may differ in that respect on The Flash season 3, now that The CW is home to all four Arrow-verse TV shows (Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl).
Season 3, for example, will pit Barry and his friends against a foe (rumored to be the Music Meister) whose arrival in Central City gives rise to a musical crossover with now-fellow DC TV series on The CW, Supergirl.
Although the over-arching narrative of The Flash season 3 will involve much more than Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) residing in an alternate reality, the Flashpoint storyline has understandably served as the focal point for season 3’s marketing campaign ahead of its premiere next month.
