Following his acclaimed feature debut, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa — like many of his fellow indie filmmakers — is making the leap to big budget blockbusters, having recently replaced Seth Grahame-Smith on The Flash solo film over at Warner Bros. Since Famuyiwa joined the WB / DC family, we’d been wondering if any of his Dope stars might be joining him, and the answer is…maybe!
Variety reports that WB is eyeing Dope and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star Kiersey Clemons to play the female lead opposite Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen in The Flash solo film.
Ray Fisher, who also made his (brief) debut in Batman v Superman as Cyborg, will appear alongside Miller in The Flash, which hits theaters in 2018.
Miller’s Flash was introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where he appeared in two scenes teasing the arrival of the Scarlet Speedster.
