Fong is set to executive produce the series alongside Julia Bicknell and Flanagan through his banner Intrepid Pictures, which has an overall creative deal with the streaming service, with Trevor Macy.
The group makes a pact that whichever of them dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave.
He is currently working on post-production for the buzzed-about Bly Manor, which currently waiting to continue production on Midnight Mass following the passing of the global pandemic.
Flanagan is set to adapt the series alongside Leah Fong, who is currently a writer on the highly-anticipated The Haunting of Bly Manor, the follow-up to the 41-year-old writer/director’s adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House.
