The Hitman’s Bodyguard received a B+ CinemaScore from audiences and was made for $29 million.
After topping the box office last weekend, Annabelle: Creation dropped to second place and 55.7% in tickets sales with $15.5 million.
The two-week domestic total for the film, which cost just $15 million to make, is now $64 million.
Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson took over the box office this weekend as action-comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard (Lionsgate) debuted in first place with an estimated $21.6 million from 3,377 theaters, an average of $6,396 per location.
