At the same time, the end of Jurassic World gave us the impression that InGen, the company who had been trying to gain the cloning technology since the first Jurassic Park film, would finally succeed, and, according to Colin Trevorrow, who directed the previous film, and is an executive producer on this one, the technology might end up available to even more companies, meaning that dinosaurs are going “open source.”
Very little official has been released regarding what Jurassic World 2 will actually be about.
One plot synopsis hints that the military applications of the dinosaurs, which Vincent D’Onofrio’s character was interested in as part of the last film, will be realized, as the park location will be used as a training ground to teach the animals to carry weapons.
