According to Deadline, Apple TV+ has officially given a series order to the six-episode limited series adaptation of author Walter Mosley’s acclaimed novel The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson attached for the leading role.
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey centers around the titular character, a 91-year-old man forgotten by his family, by his friends, by even himself.
This marks the second collaboration between Jackson and Apple, who have previously worked together in this year’s The Banker film.
The series will be written by Mosley, who will also serve as an executive producer along with Jackson.
