The new Netflix documentary, The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes, unearths a new detail that challenges the long-accepted story of the star’s death.

But according to ambulance company owner Walter Schaefer, who is interviewed in The Unheard Tapes, Monroe was actually alive when his driver Ken Hunter arrived to take her to hospital in Santa Monica.
Her most successful films include The Seven Year Itch (1955) Bus Stop (1956) and Some Like It Hot (1959).
