Showtime has greenlit a new Mafia drama series involving a collaboration between The Sopranos producer Terence Winter and Goodfellas screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi.
Recent projects include the second series of Wu-Tang Clan documentary An American Saga, and the forthcoming satirical drama series Filthy Rich, starring Kim Cattrall.
Winter was the executive producer behind HBO’s The Sopranos, as well as the creator, writer and executive producer of Boardwalk Empire.
Winter will write the script for the currently untitled show, and produce alongside Pileggi, Brian Graizer, and Samie Kim Falvey.
