According to The Hollywood Reporter, Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) has signed on to lend his voice for the leading role of Mr. Hu, with long-time Pixar animator Carlos Baena attached to helm the project.
Paramount Animation is in the process of developing an animated film adaptation of The Tiger’s Apprentice, based on Laurence Yep’s best-selling YA fantasy novel trilogy of the same name.
Since then, he has been cast in other films such as A Simple Favor, Last Christmas and The Gentlemen.
The film adaptation will be the directorial film debut of Carlos Baena, who is known for his works on Wall-E and Toy Story 3.
